Caithness Educational Trust

The Caithness Educational Trust Scheme started in 1936.

There are a number of endowments from generous benefactors over the years to support both individual young people and schools.

It is part of The Highland Council Charitable Trusts, which is looked after by Highland Council elected members.

There are a wide variety of prize monies issued to schools each year in memory of the benefactors.


To be eligible to apply for funding from the Caithness Educational Trust, you must be

  • from, or reside in, Caithness
  • a school in Caithness

Funding streams are available for individuals and schools.
