
The Sutherland Educational Trust Scheme started in 1960.
There are a number of endowments from generous benefactors over the years to support individual young people, schools and community groups.
It is part of The Highland Council Charitable Trusts, which is looked after by Highland Council elected members.
There are a wide variety of prize monies issued to schools each year in memory of the benefactors.
To be eligible to apply for funding from the Sutherland Educational Trust, you must be
- from, or reside in, Sutherland, or
- a school or community group
Funding streams are available for individuals, schools and community groups.
